Analysis, target concept, technical project, solution

An introductory analysis makes it possible to practically define the company’s IS/IT  strategy based on the company’s overall strategy and serves as a detailed basis for ordering every IT project.

A necessary condition for a successful result must be the customer’s participation on all levels, from management through the appropriate user in the entire cycle of the project. In the introductory analysis information is presented in such a way that it is completely understandable, above all for the customer himself. Based on this document, in the application acceptance phase a comparison can be made between the developed application and the order (with the customer’s requirements of the application). The introductory analysis is subject to the customer’s acceptance (comments, approval of content). After acceptance it becomes the binding document and the basis for elaborating a target concept or technical project.

The target concept sets forth the overall concept of the solution, and contains a data model, a process model, a list of system requirements, etc.

A technical project is a document that expresses the information contained in the introductory analysis in pure technical terminology issuing from the relevant methodology. The technical project is the basic document that a programmer uses for developing an application and for its later maintenance or modification, and is a part of the project documentation, which is handed over to the customer after the application has been completed.
