Events and Absences

The Events and Absences  application is for recording planned absences of any workers in the organization’s common calendar. The application contains a set of dynamic forms that change depending on the requested type of absence (meeting, business trip, private trip, illness, vacation, personal obstacles, etc.).

If a worker creates an absence he/she can also state in the form his/her requests for resources: in the case of a “Meeting” this would be a reservation of available rooms, in the case of a “Business trip” a vehicle, for example. A worker can invite coworkers to a planned absence (meeting).

After the submission  of a request the application automatically checks whether the request collides with an already entered claim – whether the resources are free, whether coworkers have different absences. After checking, the system sends a notice to affected coworkers and enters the absence into the calendar.

Several types of planned absences or requests for resources are subject to approval of a superior worker – vacations, etc. The application also contains vacation sheets, with information on the claim and vacation time drawn by a specific worker.

If a worker uses the resource of an automobile, the application is connected to the Driving Log application, which keeps records on vehicles used, the number of kilometers, expenses for resources, gasoline, etc.
